The Polarization Rotators is made of quartz crystal. Quartz crystals have natural optical rotation, so they can be used to rotate the polarization direction of linearly polarized light without changing its characteristics. The angle of rotation is related to the thickness of the crystal, and there are currently two options for rotation direction: left-handed and right-handed.
